Routing in the plain of 'oltrepò bunting. We start from Pavia: From the Middle Ages Pavia is home to one of the oldest Italian universities. The city was conquered in 572 by the Lombards, who chose the capital of their kingdom by the name of Papias. We go from Cava Manara known since the thirteenth century, when it belonged to the territory subject to Pavia, in the region of Lomellina. In Bressana Bottarone deviate towards Pancarana. in Pancarana time between the ferry and the Supreme was the main road between Voghera and Pavia. From Pancarana we carry in Voghera whose first settlements date back to the Neolithic From Voghera we head to Retorbido whose first records appear in the Middle Ages, although it is believed that since humanistic Retorbido corresponds to the ancient Ligurian city of Litubium cited a passage from Livy with Clastidium (current Casteggio). If we have with us we can use the bike for a nice walk from Retorbido in Voghera or Salice Terme along the cycle path built on the seat of the electric railway Voghera - Varzi. From here we head to Codevilla consists of two historically important centers: the current capital and its locality Mondondone. We continue to Torrazza Coste which is part of the National Association of Wine Cities, along with 37 other cities in Lombardy and head Casteggio, from its origins in Liguria, belonging to the people that the Greeks called Anamari. Leaving Casteggio we make a stop in Santa Giulietta order not to lose the opportunity of a visit to the castle (in the homonymous village), on the top of the hill, where the original plant (XII century) there are only the cellars once inhospitable prisons. Also worth visiting is the Doll Museum. We continue to Redavalle, heir to a most ancient center of San Martino in Strada. Numerous Roman remains have been found. From Redavalle, a few kilometers and reach Broni, likely Roman city named in two routes of antiquity as Comillomagus, or Cameliomagus. We continue to Stradella, whose history is mixed in the Middle Ages, with the ancient town of Montalino, located on a small hill on the southern outskirts of the city today. Stradella was for many decades one of the main centers of production of the accordion in the world .. We return to Pavia by passing Mezzanino which was probably built on an island of the Po
