The History
Lirio dates from 11th century, when it was the property of the Monastery of Santa Maria delle Cacce in Pavia. In 1164 it came under the dominion of Pavia. It was under the jurisdiction of the podestà and part of the Montalto estate, which was enfeoffed to the Belcredi family, later on the Strozzi, the Taverna and again to the Belcredi family, until 1797, when feudalism was abolished.
