The History
Ruino belonged in the Middle Ages to the domains of the abbey of San Colombano of Bobbio, and was included in the territory of the Val Tidone subject to the episcopate Bobbio. In 1164 he was one of the centers of the 'Oltrepò awarded with diploma imperial domination of the city of Pavia; despite subsequent confirmations, perhaps Pavia could not consolidate the rule of Ruino, which in effect later followed the fate of Zavattarello.
