We start from Vigevano: During the period Visconti-Sforza Vigevano reached its heyday of, becoming ducal residence and commercial center of considerable importance for the processing of woolen cloth and linen. From Mede we move to Lomello, the ancient Laumellum, an important Roman settlement, and was an important center as a place of rest and not only to change horses, along the road from Piacenza to Turin and brought to the Alpine passes. From Lomello along the road back to Vigevano and expect a visit to the Castle of Scaldasole. Along the way we meet Dorno, which was a mutatio, that is a point of change of horses. Last stop, Gambolò, where the first evidence of human presence dating back to the Mesolithic (5500-4500 BC). Timely visit to the archaeological museum Lomellino.
